THE BRAINSTORMING PROCESS: CREATING A MOTION VIDEO
When completing a design, numerous thoughts come and go until the final stays. Here's an example of how I approach a project from start to finish using "Pictograms", a motion video inspired by VOX.
PHASE 1: RESEARCH AND DISCOVERY
Here, the topic is discovered. For this piece, I decided to go with the interesting link between how the restroom symbols we know today were created through the Tokyo 1964 Olympics.
Once a direction was established, the script was made using anything I can find from textbooks, artworks and websites to get an idea.
PHASE 2: STORYBOARDING
Here, sketches were made to see how a video would transition. This part is all about cutting things out, adding pieces and adjusting timing until I've found a rough timeline wished to go with.
PHASE 3: REFINEMENTS AND ANAMATIC
Here's where the design starts to come together.
PHASE 4: DELIVERING THE FINAL
